Headquartered in Bali, Indonesia, The Cakap Group (TCG) is a licensed PT PMA hospitality and restaurant consulting company. Backed by a dedicated, on-the-ground team and our own permanent training facilities, we have successfully set up, launched, and supervised over 180 projects across Indonesia and internationally—spanning luxury resorts, boutique hotels, high-end restaurants, beach clubs, and premium wellness facilities.

Meet the Founder
Peter Jozef
President Director 
I've had hospitality in my blood for as long as I can remember. I was always too active for the classroom, so at fourteen I left and went to work — starting at the bottom as a dishwasher, housekeeper and bartender, and working up through the toughest jobs in seriously busy, high-end properties. At the age of twenty-five I was a head chef, running the kitchen for a group of investors turning old pubs into modern gastropubs, and staging in the two-Michelin-star kitchen of Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley Hotel in London.
In 2012 I moved to Bali to join the pre-opening team for the ultra-luxury Samabe Bali Resort as Food & Beverage Director — my first role fully managing front of house as well as the kitchen. That's where I fell in love with operations, and where, leading a department of over a hundred staff, I built the systems to run it all.
I founded The Cakap Group in 2015 and have refined those systems ever since. Along the way I've developed an acute skill for intricate financial modelling, and come to understand the intricacies of Indonesian HR and labour law — one of the most crucial parts of operating here, and one that quietly makes or breaks a business. Thirty years has taught me that great service and beautiful design aren't enough on their own; it's the systems underneath that turn a vision into a business that works.
I believe in building deep relationships with my clients, founded on trust. Your vision becomes mine the day you hand it over — and I carry the weight of it with my own reputation on the line, until it's running exactly as it should be.
